At this time, we do not reserve or hold units.
If you’re planning to rent on the 1st of the month, you’ll need to complete your rental on that day. Availability is live—if you see the “Rent Now” button, a unit is ready!

💳 Why was I charged more than expected when signing up?

Your initial charges include:

• First month’s rent
• A deposit equal to one month’s rent


Your second month will be prorated based on your move-in date, aligning future billing with the 1st of each month.

📅 Can I rent for more than one month?

Yes! All rentals are month-to-month and automatically renew on the 1st of each month.
Your rental continues until you provide a 10-day written notice of departure.

🚫 What if I sign up but no longer need the unit?

If you’ve signed the rental agreement, you’re required to give a 10-day notice to receive your deposit refund.

We understand that plans change—if you no longer need the unit:

• We may refund the month’s rent
• However, the deposit will be retained due to loss of rental opportunity

🔐 Are there any security or insurance recommendations?

For your peace of mind, we strongly recommend:

• Carrying renter’s insurance to protect your stored items
• Using a round disc lock—these are more secure and better suited for our units

🧳 Packing Tips for Breezy Valley Storage

Before storing your belongings, please keep in mind that our facility is not climate-controlled. This means your items will be exposed to Vermont’s seasonal temperature and humidity changes.

• Temperature swings and moisture can affect your items.
• Plastic totes are highly recommended for storage.
• If totes aren’t available, please avoid placing items directly on the concrete slab, which can sweat and create moisture.
→ Tip: Wood pallets make a great barrier.

💧 Important Reminder About Liquids

Water expands when it freezes—and so do other fluids.
Do not store any items containing liquids (including water, cleaning products, or beverages). These require climate-controlled storage and may rupture or leak in cold weather.

🚗 Vehicle Storage

If you’re storing a car or motorcycle, it’s your responsibility to:

• Ensure the vehicle is leak-free
• Place a barrier (such as a drip mat or cardboard) under any areas that may leak fluids
This helps protect the concrete slab and your deposit.

🐭 Food & Pest Prevention

Do not store any type of food in your unit—this attracts pests and violates our facility rules.

For items like mattresses, couches, clothing, and paper goods:

• Wrap furniture in plastic
• Use totes for clothing and paper
• Keep all items off the slab to prevent moisture damage
Proper packing helps protect your belongings and keeps pests away.

🧊 Why the Slab Matters

Our floors are solid concrete. In winter, they get as cold as the frozen ground.
In spring, when warm, moist air hits the cold slab, condensation forms.
That’s why we recommend:

• Plastic totes whenever possible
• Wood pallets to lift items off the floor
